Audience Response Systems, How and Where To Buy Them:  Step One

Get others involved from the start.

We will assume that you have been charged with researching Audience Response Systems and will ultimately need to make a purchase, or provide a recommendation.

We will also assume that you work for a mid-sized, or large company.  This being the case, your first task is to put the word out that you'll be buying an audience response system.

Ask around to determine if others are interested in sharing a system, and whether they can help with the cost.   As with any capital purchase, you want to maximize the benefit for your company.

You may have to do a little internal selling.  Generating interest is a worthwhile step.  Once you have done so, get together with those who are interested, and form a team.  It is best to get them involved in the process from the very start.

The team's first meeting should included discussion around who will do what tasks, and about how each interested party would use their audience response system.

It should be clear that the system will be used in different ways by different people, and each party will have to do their own individual 'needs analysis'.
